Overview
The foundation years.
Collagen production begins to decline gradually in our mid-20s, and most visible skin aging is driven by cumulative sun exposure. The good news is that small, consistent habits started now have an outsized effect over time.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
When should I start using a retinoid?
Many people benefit from starting in their mid-20s. Start slowly, two or three nights a week, and build up. Dr. Burris can prescribe tretinoin if it's appropriate for you.
Is 'preventive Botox' worth it?
For some people with strong expression lines, low-dose neurotoxin can help keep lines from becoming permanent. For others, it isn't necessary yet. Dr. Burris will give you an honest assessment.
When should I get my first skin check?
A baseline full-body exam in your 20s is a good idea, especially if you have many moles, a family history of skin cancer or a history of sunburns.
